Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can turn off personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitor statistics

To see how many people visit and how long they play, each page records a visit: which page was opened, when, roughly how long it was actively used, the site that linked you here, and whether you're on a phone or computer. Your browser stores a random ID so repeat visits can be counted. If you choose to sign in, these visits are linked to your account (see below). The data is stored in Google Firebase and only viewed by the site owner.

Optional sign-in

You can sign in with your Google account using the Sign in button at the top of the site. Signing in is never required: every page and game works the same without it. If you sign in, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with this site, and each page you open while signed in saves your name, email, picture, when you first signed in, when you were last here, how many pages you've opened, and the random visitor ID of each browser you signed in on. That lets the site owner see which of the visitor statistics above are yours. This is stored in Google Firebase and only viewed by the site owner. Online games use your signed-in account instead of an anonymous one, but other players still only see the player name you type. Sign out any time from the button with your name; to have your saved sign-in record deleted, use the contact details below.

Prize wheel

Some pages offer one free spin of a prize wheel to visitors who sign in with Google (ages 13 and up). Spinning saves the time of your spin, which decides the result, under your account. If you win and request a custom item, the site saves what you entered (the game, the item's type, name, color and description) along with your name and email so the item can be built and linked to your account. Spinning is optional and nothing is sold or charged.

Hype Cycle Exchange game

The stock game uses Google Firebase so players can join a game. When you join, you get an anonymous sign-in (no email or password), and the game stores the team name you type and your trades for that game. Your browser also saves your current game code and your sound settings so the page remembers them.

Other online games

Some games on this site have online rooms that use Google Firebase. When you press Play online you get an anonymous sign-in (no email or password), and the game shares your player name, color, position and score with the other players in your room while you play. You're removed from the room when you leave. Your browser also saves your player name, color, last room code and sound setting so the game remembers them. Playing alone doesn't send anything online.

Chat, reports and feedback

Some game pages have an Online panel with a public cabin chat and private messages. Cabin chat messages are saved, with the sender's player name, seat tag and an account ID, and the site owner and the site's admins can read them to keep the chat safe. Private messages are end-to-end encrypted and are not saved, unless one of the two people presses Report: that saves a copy of the recent messages in that conversation, as the reporter sees them, with both players' names, so the site owner and admins can review it. Notes sent through the feedback box (and the optional name and contact details typed into it) are saved for the site owner and admins to read. The site also saves your player name and seat tag together with this browser's random visitor ID, so play-time statistics (which games were played and for how long, see Visitor statistics above) can be shown by player name. This is stored in Google Firebase.

Boxed game

The Daily five and Practice keep your results, streak and difficulty choices in your browser only. Live games use Google Firebase: when you host or join you get an anonymous sign-in (no email or password), and the game stores the name you type and the answers you lock in for that game. To show each problem, your browser loads it from the Art of Problem Solving Wiki (artofproblemsolving.com), which receives a normal web request from you.

Docket study planner

Docket keeps everything you give it (assignments, calendars, activities and settings) in your own browser only. None of it is sent to this site or anyone else. The Canvas bookmark button reads your assignments from your school's Canvas using the login you already have open, can't submit or change anything, and passes the list to Docket in the part of the web address after the "#", which browsers never send to a server. If you import a calendar link, your browser requests it directly from that calendar's provider. Clearing your browser's site data deletes everything Docket has saved.
